HPBOSE Recruitment 2017: HPBOSE (Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education) is looking for skilled candidates to recruit them for the Junior Clerk position. There are seventy vacancies, out of which 25 are for the general category, eleven are for the SC and one is for the ST categories. The OBC is given eight vacancies. The EX-servicemen of general, SC, ST, and OBC are given five, two, one, two vacancies respectively. The IRDP of general, SC, ST, OBC categories are given six, two, one and two vacancies respectively. The rest of them are given to WFF and PH categories.

Candidates who want to participate in this recruitment drive must have cleared their class 12th exam with at least fifty percent marks. All those who have graduated or have a post graduation degree from an authentic university can also apply, provided their aggregate marks are at least fifty percent. The Antodya, IRDP, ST and SC categories are given five percent relaxation in the minimum aggregate marks.
The age must be calculated in accordance with the date January 1st, 2017. The age of the candidates wishing to participate in this drive must be not more than 45 years, and not less than 18 years. The SC and ST candidates have been given five-year relaxation in the upper age limit.
The application fee for the general category candidates, and for those who are from other states is six hundred rupees. The ones who are domicile to Himachal Pradesh, and belong to the PHH, OBC, ST or SC category need to pay only four hundred rupees.
How to Apply
Candidates must visit the official portal of HPBOSE to apply online. The board will not accept any other method for submitting the applications. All forms that do not have complete information or are without the application fee will be rejected. In such cases, the board will not make any correspondence.
The online form must accompany the application fee. Candidates are not required to send any photocopy of the testimonials or certificates with the form.
The selection process will contain a written exam. The syllabus and level of the exam will be in accordance with the minimum educational qualification post provided by the board for the post. Since the minimum qualification level, in this case, is the 12th class with minimum fifty percent marks, so is the level of the examination. This means that the basic level of the exam will cover the syllabus of twelfth class.
The written test will be of 85 marks. The question paper will be of objective type and will contain multiple choice questions. There will be four parts in the question paper and will be dedicated to the general knowledge, general English, quantitative aptitude, and general Hindi. The general knowledge section will be of 25 marks, and other sections will be of 20 marks each. The exam duration will be 90 minutes.
