Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2017: The Gujarat High Court is inviting online applications for the posts of English Stenographer and Gujarati Stenographer. There are 70 vacancies of the former, and 39 vacancies of that latter post. The details of this recruitment drive are discussed below.

Educational Requirements

The post of English Stenographer needs a graduate degree in any area awarded by an authentic institute or university. Candidates must also know English typing and must have the speed of 120 words per minute in English Shorthand. The knowledge of operating a computer system is mandatory for this post, and the candidates must have sufficient knowledge of Hindi, Gujarati and English languages.

Candidates applying for the post of Gujarati Stenographer must have completed their graduation in any field, and the degree must have been awarded by an authentic institute or university. They must also have the speed of ninety words per minute in Gujarati Short Hand, and the basic knowledge of operating a computer is also essential. Like in the English Stenographer post, it is mandatory for the candidates to have knowledge of Hindi, Gujarati and English languages.

Age Limit

The age of the candidates applying for this recruitment drive must be between 21 and 41 years. This condition applies in accordance with August 15, 2017. The women candidates of all categories and the SEBC, ST and SC candidates of only the Gujarat origin are given five-year relaxation in the upper age limit. All those belonging to the PWD (persons with difficulties) are given ten-year relaxation, whereas the ex-servicemen receive relaxation of the 3 years plus the number of years they have rendered service. All those who are already working in any institute or organization of the state government will receive five-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs 250 for those belonging to PWD, Ex-servicemen, and ST and SC categories. For all others, it is Rs 500.This fee must be paid through SBI’s any core branch.

How to Apply

The detailed advertisement given on the official website must be read thoroughly before starting to fill up the online application form. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all eligibility requirements and other rules mentioned in the advertisement. Candidates must pay the fee before starting the form filling procedure. They must keep the registered and active mobile number ready before commencing the application form filling procedure.

After filling up all fields of the online application form, candidates must click the button named ‘save’ to save the filled up form. A new window, displaying the unique application number will be displayed which will indicate that the application is successfully saved. The entire string of number must be noted down. The on screen preview of the form can be displayed by clicking the button named ‘Show application preview’.

The scanned copies of signature and photo can then be uploaded by entering the birth date and application number. The application form can be edited by clicking on the button named ‘Edit Application’ until the form is confirmed. The next step is the confirmation of application after filling up the form and correctly verifying the details. The system will not permit the editing of application form after it is confirmed.
